Fix software issues (for Windows and Mac)


Does your computer not load properly or just not do what it should do? Depending on the problem we often fix the specific issue, otherwise we backup your data, reinstall the operating system, then restore your data. Trouble with Outlook, Internet browser, an accounting program, annoying pop ups, error messages, virus issues, or any program or software issue can be solved by us.

Virus & Malware removal

In most cases the virus, spyware or malware can be located and removed quite easily and quickly by one of our computer technicians. Your Internet settings and file system are then repaired. In less common extreme cases, your data is backed up, the operating system is reinstalled and your data restored. We then install an antivirus program for you, make sure you have an active firewall and secure network. We also advise not opening email attachments from people you don't know and being careful about downloading anything free, torrents and clicking on advertising links.

Speed up computers

Over time computers tend to slow down. We utilize several tools, configurations, tweeks and even hardware upgrades (RAM, SSD etc) if necessary, to increase your computer's performance. Occasionally the operating system needs to be reinstalled.

Sometimes when your desktop computer won't load, there may be a hardware problem such as a faulty power supply unit, faulty hard drive, bad memory module, damaged video card or even a faulty motherboard. We can replace any hardware component with a quality part from a well known company, with a 1 year warranty on that part. Likewise we can upgrade your existing hardware for faster performance, more disk space or better graphics for games.

Recover deleted or lost data

Depending on your situation, it is often possible to recover deleted or lost data from your computer or external hard drive. Success is more probable if the data has gone missing only recently. Also, if you've lost some data, you should not copy or install anything onto the computer before letting us look at it. For this service, if we are unsuccessful, you only need to pay $60 for the computer technician's time, as successful data recovery is not guaranteed. However, we are substantially more affordable than the businesses that specialize in this area and have successfully recovered data on many occasions.

Data transfer & easy ways to back up data

Transfer data from your old computer to your new computer, even if your old computer is no longer working, including your email, pics, docs, iTunes music, accounting company files, favourites and desktop files. Setting up a backup to ensure you never lose those valuable family pictures or business email.

If you'd like us to build you a custom desktop computer to suit your needs, we can do this too! You can choose your video card, how much RAM you need, or just tell us what you want to use the computer for. Free delivery and optional set up (data transfer, email, printer etc). Also, a lot of laptops that you buy today come with a 500GB SSD. So this is fast, but its storage may be too small for many people. Here at Computer Champ, we can upgrade your laptop with a larger SSD for more storage.
